Girl up is a term that is used by different organizations that are mainly striving to empower women. The attention of almost all activists is now shifted to females to the extent that boys are the ones that are being neglected. It is saddening that men are now being battered in some developing countries and there is no one to speak out for them. This is because the foundation is US based yet the rest of the world also needs to benefit.

The UN GU Foundation aims at educating the women living in the US and the rest of the world. They are also provided with health facilities, as a benefit. This is helpful since it prevents different diseases from obscuring them from studying and carrying out other activities. Good health equals success in all aspects.

The beneficiaries of this program are also kept safe by the organizations. Malicious people like the men, step parents and even security officers choose to take advantage of the innocence of the female child and mistreat them in all the inhuman ways possible. It is usually said the the next generation leaders are the youth. However, this could be untrue since boys are the only center of attraction. Its origin is New Orleans and the female children between grade 5 to grade 12 are the ones that mainly benefit-the most vulnerable group. Therefore the term Girl Up just as its name suggests, is used by organizations to nature women at a tender age.
