Revolutions mark time and are etched into history such as the American Revolution beginning in 1775, the French Revolution in 1789, and the Russian Revolution of 1917. In 2010, Miranda Lambert's REVOLUTION continues with the Platinum certification of her album, which has already yielded the back to back Number One Gold singles "White Liar" and "House That Built Me." Her current single, "Only Prettier," is Top 20 and climbing.
When REVOLUTION debuted at # 1 on the Country Album Chart last year, Lambert became one of five country artists in SoundScan history whose first three albums all landed the #1 spot out of the box. Since that time, the album was named the 2010 ACM Album of the Year and is nominated for the CMA Album of the Year as well. Lambert enters the CMA Award season with a total of nine nominations, the most for a female artist in the history of the CMAs.
On the achievement Lambert said, "REVOLUTION has been just that in my life. A Revolution. This past year since it came out, my life has changed tremendously. This project started with me on my couch at home holding my guitar. I knew it was really important that it be something special, so I poured everything I had into writing and singing with heart on every note and track. I wrote so personally it actually scared me that I was putting in on tape for all to hear. But that is what it takes. I am so blessed to have the people that wrote, played and produced this record with me because they share the same vision and passion I do. Thank you to the 1 million fans that share it too. And thank you for joining the REVOLUTION."
Three-time GRAMMY nominee, platinum-selling recording artist and hit singer/songwriter Miranda Lambert recently added her first AMA nomination for Favorite Female Country Artist and nine CMA nominations to her already impressive list of accolades she's received this year, including her first CMT Award. The fan-voted CMT Award for Female Video of the Year joins Miranda's recent ACM wins for Album of the Year (Revolution), Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year (White Liar). Her second single from Revolution, "The House That Built Me," held the Number 1 position for 4 straight weeks. It follows "White Liar" which was Miranda's first career No.1 single. Miranda is slathering on the southern charm with her newest single, "Only Prettier."
She recently wrapped up her own "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" headlining tour, joined a stint of dates on the Lilith Fair tour, and is currently headlining CMT On Tour Miranda Lambert Revolution 2010 tour. For more information, visit WWW.MIRANDALAMBERT.COM
